Using good quality beer bottles is essential if you want to protect your beer! Remember, you can't use commercial screw-top bottles for your own home-brew. If you are brewing a standard 5 gallon recipe you will need approximately (2) cases of 12oz. bottles. Color and shape may vary.
One of the main steps in brewing is boiling the wort. That's why when you see any brewery, their equipment is always stainless steel. This non-reactive stainliness steel is the best material because of its ease of cleaning, durability, and its natural ability to conduct heat evenly minimizes "scorching" for a truly better beer.
Our six part email series will teach you the basics and introduce you to the concepts, techniques, and equipment of the most rewarding hobby you'll ever have.
