Directions for Making Cream Liqueurs
Making your own cream liqueurs is not only more economical, but by using fresh ingredients, they taste better, are smoother and creamier. They also don’t contain emulsifiers, thickening agents or preservatives. By making your own. You also are not limited by what is on the market – you can invent your own recipes!
Almost any cordial extract can be made into a cream liqueur. Use the commercial ones as basic guidelines, but feel free to experiment – you will then be able to have your own “special” cordials.
Basic Instant Cream Liqueur Recipe
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons instant vanilla pudding mix
1 bottle cordial extract
1 ˝ cups Vodka or other 80 proof spirit
2 cups (1 pint) light cream or evaporated milk
Add all ingredients except cream into a blender. Cover and mix on low speed for two (2) minutes. Shut off blender and add cream. Cover and mix on low speed for 5 seconds. Transfer cream liqueur to clean bottles with airtight covers. Store in refrigerator for up to one month. Makes approximately one quart. Serve cold.

Amaretto Cream: Amaretto Extract and Vodka
Coffee Cream: Kaffee Likor Extract and Vodka
Hazelnut Cream: Hazelnut Liqueuer Extract and Vodka
Irish Cream: Irish Cream Extract and Blended Whiskey
Peach Cream: Peach Cream Extract and Vodka
As with all alcoholic beverages, label properly, use in moderation and keep out of reach of children.
Coffee Creamer
Mix 1 quart Light cream or Half-and-Half with desired cordial extract, add sugar to taste. Store in refrigerator.
