Arrogant Bastard Ale Clone

We love Stone Brewery and when their Arrogant Bastard Ale was released in 1997 we fell in love (as well as the rest of the country).  We've priced this Arrogant Bastard Clone Kit so that all may enjoy this legendary ale.  You won't regret it.

Tasting Notes

Appearance

Appearance is a deep lush amber color with awesome clarity and some rich mahogany undertones that really redden in the light. Nice tan head and loads of lace.

Aroma

Smells of light roasty malts and yeasty breads that give way to a nice piney and floral hop aroma.

Taste

Warm roasty malts, caramel, slightly nutty, rich bread flavors are balanced very nicely by a sharp hop bitterness that brings a nice peppery spice and earthiness to the beer. It really lends itself to oak well and I think the oaked version is in fact even better. Bitterness dries out the finish and it definitely warms up a bit for sure.

Mouthfeel

Incredibly smooth and creamy with a slight richness to it that clings to the palate.
