Product Description

Soft drinks of many other flavors can be made at home quickly and it is great fun for the kids!

Each quality extract bottle is enough to make 4 gallons of your favorite soft drink. A packet of Premier Cuvee or Champagne yeast and cane sugar is needed to complete the ingredients list. The yeast is used to produce all natural carbonation in the bottle. Natural carbonation will take two to three weeks.

Quick Bottling Recipe Using Two 2-Liter Plastic Soda Bottles With Reusable Caps:Ingredients:1/8 Teaspoon (Premier Cuvee) Dry Yeast2 1/4 cups sugar1 Tablespoon Soda ExtractDirections:Thoroughly dissolve yeast in a 6-oz. coffee cup of warm water. Set aside.In a 1 gallon container, mix sugar and extract; add yeast. Pour mixture into each soda bottle. Add plain water (bottled or tap) to soda bottle to within 1 to 2 inches of top of bottle. Put on reusable cap and shake. Store at room temperature (approximately 70F) for 4-6 days. Carbonated bottles will be stiffer than non-carbonated ones.NOTES: Clean bottles to be used thoroughly. Slight deposit on bottom of bottle is due to yeast, not harmful. Refrigerate remaining extract and yeast.Instructions For One To Four Gallons:(Natural carbonated recipe: This is accomplished by the yeast consuming a percentage of the sugar.)For 1 Gallon:1/2 Tsp. yeast, 1 Tbsp. Or 1/2 oz. Extract, 2 cups sugar, add enough water to fill to gallon. Bottle in (2) 2-Liter bottles.For 2 Gallons: 1/2 - 1 Tsp. yeast, 1 oz. or 1/2 bottle of Extract, 4 cups sugar, add enough water to fill to 2 gallons. Bottle in (4) 2-Liter bottles.For 4 Gallons:1 - 2 Tsp. yeast, 1 bottle of Extract, 8 cups sugar, add enough water to fill to 4 gallons. Bottle in (8) 2-Liter bottles.Note: 2-8oz. measuring cups = 1 lb. Sugar. Thoroughly clean and sterilize bottles and caps prior to bottling. *4 gallons = approximately (36) 12oz. bottles.Step 1: Dissolve the yeast in a cup of warm water (98F). Let stand 5 minutes or longer to dissolve, mix thoroughly. Use fresh yeast; preferably from a wine or beer supply company.Step 2: Shake soda extract bottle well. Combine soda extract and sugar in sufficient warn tap water to dissolve sugar.Step 3: Add dissolved yeast to soda extract/sugar mixture. Then, add appropriate amount of warm water to match desired amount, as noted above.Step 4: Mixture can be tasted. More sugar or soda extract may be added to suit your taste.Step 5: Fill sterilized bottles to within 1-2 inches of top. Seal with hand capper or resealable caps. Bottles not sealed properly may become flat or sour.Step 6: Lay bottles on side to check for leaks. Age bottled soda 3-4 days at room temperature (70F). Then store in cooler, dark place. Total aging at least one week - 2 weeks improves flavor.NOTE: May be slight deposit on bottom of bottle due to yeast, not harmful.
