All are electricly powered, these crusher/destemmers make short work of larger quantities of grapes. Stem removal is an advantage when making red wine because you avoid the bitter tannin flavors which result when you have a lot of stems in the fermenting must. Most models will remove about 85% of the stems under most conditions. Large enough to handle the needs of a small winery. Available during fall only. CUSTOMER PICK-UP OR TRUCK SHIPMENT ONLY! It is unfortunate, but apparently an uncorrectable condition that crushers/ destemmers/ presses often suffer minor damage in transit from Italy. The cost of assuring that no damage will occur is not compatible with their price range. These units will perform their intended function well enough however, scratches and dents will be unavoidable. We will do our best to send the best available product at your most reasonable cost not affecting quality of product.
