Oak Chips - American Medium Toast
Oak Chips are used in the winemaking process to add oak flavor and essence to the wine without the need for a oak barrel. They may also be used in some beer styles where toasted oak is desired.
Medium toast. Usage 2 oz per 5 gallons. Steam for 5 minutes prior to usage in wine or beer. Add loose or inside strainingbag. Leave for 4-8 weeks. or to taste
