Four Star is a Massachusetts sustainable farm that grows hops, wheat and turf. The farm offers some amazing local hops and we are incredibly proud to offer them to you. The terroir of our soil transforms this well known hop variety into something entirely different than it`s west coast counterpart, so much so that we decided to give it a new name! Popular in IPAs, Imperials, and other super hoppy brews this dual purpose variety packs a bright citrus and sticky fruit flavor/aroma profile. Can you guess it`s original name?
Here`s the anwer - these hops are so different that we want to call them by a different name (meet Ppite, french for Nugget). Great as a dual purpose hop, youll find strong notes of sticky tropical fruit, banana, and bubble gum. Dont let the name fool you, these are not the herbal/earthy hops you think they are.
