Alicante - Widely cultivated since 1866 Alicante is a cross between Grenache and Petite Bouschet. One of the few teinturier (red grape with red flesh) varietals. Known for its deep color, high tannin levels, and fruitiness. Mainly a blending wine that blends well with Amarone and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Nose: Pine needle forest, mineral, and black fruits.
Flavor: Green herb, peppercorn, red current, cherry palate, with a touch of menthol.

About ordering Fresh Grapes
Our fresh grapes and juices will be harvested at their peak and shipped to Beer & Wine Hobby for puck-up around September or October based on the California weather. Check our Harvest Updates page for current information. Customers will be notified by phone ahead of their grape`s arrival.
