Different , but very goodReview by Lewy
I will get right to the point. " I'm a HOP HEAD" I love hoppy beers, but I'm also one who tries all kinds of beer. So this kit I was intrigued by. I have made beers with orange peel. I expected it to be like a Wit Ale. Close, but not quite. I ate a few of the Juniper berries, and took liking to them (so much that I bought more for a future batch batch). When I transferred into the secondary I had to have a sample, (noting that the berries were still intact I didn't think much flavor was extracted from them) so I added 1 oz.pulverized and put in a hop bag for 2 weeks. I think this really needs to be done because in the end this ale is really good. It was clear, white head, carbonation just right and I did not miss the hops I so dearly love, the berries made up for this. I used the dry ale yeast but will make again as a Lager and may review again at that time. So to sum it all up, it's different but it' every good. (Posted on 12/15/2015)
