WLP013 London Ale Yeast: Well-suited for classis British beer styles like pales and bitters or dark malt beers like browns and porters thanks to its oak ester character. Medium flocculation characteristics allow attenuation up to 75%, leaving beer dry while adding malt complexity and pushing hop bitterness. Similar to WLP001, but with more character.

Each vial or pouch of White Labs liquid yeast is designed to be used directly in 5 gallons of wort, hence the term `pitchable yeast.` Each vial is equivalent in cell count to a pint starter or 75-150 billion cells. One vial will usually start fermentation in a 5 gallon batch in 5-15 hours at 70F. If a faster start is desired or if initial gravity is over 1.070 we recommend a 1-2 pint starter be made or add a second vial or pouch of yeast.
